Schlesinger said Kemp's new position is effective immediately.

Kemp said, "I'm excited to take this next step in my career with the Times-Republican and Marshalltown Newspaper, Inc. I look forward to

expanding my knowledge about the newspaper business, especially in the areas of marketing, branding and circulation. I am also confident that I can continue to help our local businesses spread their advertising messages through our multiple media including print, website and business expos and other new venues."
