The upward progress Faith Legg has made in her classroom activities has put a smile on the face of her small group teacher Anna Wolvers.
Legg, a fourth grader at Hoglan Elementary School, has come out of her shell this school year and her work is reflecting that, especially her vocabulary.
"She has really blossomed from a student who used to sit quietly letting others do all the work, to wanting to do things on her own and being the first done in group," Wolvers said. "She begs to read to anyone who will listen."
Wolvers said even other students have noticed Legg's improvement.
"Even other students have commented how much better she is at reading," Wolvers said.
When she is not making strides in the classroom, the 10-year-old likes to dance, ride her bike and attend car races.
