Nathan Brant loves reading so much, he doesn't ever have to be told to pull out a book.

The first grade student at Franklin Elementary School can always be found with his nose in a book.

"When he's done with his work he automatically pulls out a book," said Amanda Zook, his teacher at Franklin. "He is a great reader and is always trying to learn more from books."

For Brant, 7, it's a way that is developing him into a better reader.

"I like that I'm getting good at it and practicing a lot," Brant said.

When he is not reading, Brant has been a role model in other ways for the rest of the students in the class.

"He's a hard worker, who is always listening, trying his best and always doing his job," Zook said.
