On Monday, a person associated with the Hope United Methodist Church, 2203 S. 3rd Ave., reported damage to a window and window frame on the west side of the church and damage to an office door and door window on the main level of the church. Estimated value of damage was $600.
On Tuesday Nancy Lee Stalzer, 2508 S. 2nd Ave., reported graffiti damage to her garage. Estimated value of damage was $100.
On Tuesday Robert Thomas Bradshaw, 508 E. Church St. Apt. #2, reported the theft of a Schwinn mountain bicycle while at the new library. Estimated value of loss was $100.

Accidents
On Saturday, a car driven by Steven Dean Oldenburger, of O'Fallon, Mo., was eastbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the travelled portion of the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Oldenburger car was estimated at $2,500.
On Friday a vehicle driven by Emily Susan Arndt, of Waterloo, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it stuck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Arndt vehicle was estimated at $2,500.
On Friday a car driven by Amber Marie Anthony, 1510 Fremont St., was southbound on South Third Avenue approaching the intersection with Madison Street when it collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by Dai Lo Pau, 519 N. 3rd St. Apt. #16, that was stopped at the intersection. No injuries were reported. Anthony was cited for violation-financial liability-accident. Damage to the Anthony car was estimated at $200 while the Pau vehicle received an estimated $1,500 in damage.
On Friday a minivan driven by Robert Dean Mowrey, 608 E. Olive St. Apt. #211, was southbound on South Center Street approaching the intersection with Westwood Drive when it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Joseph Ryan Johnson, of Grundy Center, which was stopped at the intersection awaiting traffic to clear. No injuries were reported. Mowrey was cited for failure to stop in a safe and sure distance. Damage to the Mowrey minivan was estimated at $2,000 while the Johnson pickup received an estimated $1,000 in damage.
On Friday a car driven by Edward Patrick Hannam, 409 N. 2nd Ave., was eastbound on Jerome Street when it got too close and struck Anthony Johnson, 304 Jerome St., who was leaning into the rear of his van. Johnson was transported to Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center with back pain. Damage to the Hannam car was estimated at $150.
On Nov. 16, a pickup driven by Barbara Louise Ohrt, 2431 Sand Rd., was entering traffic on Third Street when it collided with a pickup pulling a trailer driven by Mark Willard Chase, 211 E. Ferner St., which was northbound on Third Street. No injuries were reported. Ohrt was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway. Damage to the Ohrt pickup was estimated at $5,000 while the Chase pickup and trailer received an estimated $1,500 in damage.
On Tuesday a car driven by Brandon S. Kacere, of Webster City, was westbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that ran into the path of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kacere car was estimated at $3,000.

Tim Jarrell, Homeless, made an initial appearance on a burglary, third degree charge and a possession of stolen property charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his cases. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Dec. 2. Bond is set at $7,000 cash or surety.
Brandon Harris, of Dubuque, made an initial appearance on two counts of violation of probation charge. The court appointed Darrell Meyer to represent Harris in these cases. The Probation Revocation Hearing is set for 2 p.m. on Dec. 28. Bond is set for $5,000 cash or surety.
Scott Steen, 1314 Summit St., made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order charge. The Contempt Hearing is set for 10:15 a.m. on Dec. 7. Steen will hire Jake Feuerhelm to represent him as counsel. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Sierra Janssen, 1015 S. 6th St., made an initial appearance on a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge. She pleaded guilty to an amended charge of expired driver's license and was fined $30 with a $10.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $100.50 due immediately.
Daniella Castellanos, 104 N. 4th St. Apt. #2, made an initial appearance on a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 due immediately.
Brandon Lee Horbach, of Toledo, made an initial appearance on a dark window or windshield treatment charge. The case was dismissed with court costs of $60 due immediately.
Willis Davis, of Gilman, made an initial appearance on a unlawful passing of a school bus charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330 due immediately.
Donald Leroy Schmidt, 911 S. 2nd Ave., made an initial appearance on a simple assault charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 due immediately.
Jesse Scott Adkins, 207 E. High St., made an initial appearance on a interference with official acts charge and a loud noises from vehicles charge. On the interference charge the charge was dropped with court costs of $60 due immediately. He pleaded guilty and the loud noises from vehicles charge and was fined $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50 due immediately.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an alarm system activation/no fire at 1301 Summit St./Dack Hall; a smoke detector activation/no fire at 1301 Summit St./Malloy Hall; a smoke detector activation/no fire at 112 College View Lane, and four medical assists with the EMS crew at: 114 N. 1st Ave., 612 E. Anson St., 301 S. 4th Ave., and 408 W. High St. Lot #7.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a prescribed fire at 207 E. Olive St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew at: 2907 S. 6th St., 1016 S. 6th St., 408 Melody Lane, 304 Jerome St., and 402 N. 10th Ave.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to four medical assists with the EMS crew at: 206 Nicholas Dr. #60, 1 W. Grant St., 1502 Woodbury St., and 915 W. Merle Hibbs Boulevard.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke at 1702 Edgebrook Dr. Apt. #1, and two medical assists with the EMS crew at 202 N. 2nd Ave. Apt. #32, and the intersection of Fourth Avenue and East Boone Street.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 1812 Wallace Ave., a passenger vehicle fire at 3402 S. Center St., and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1117 S. Center St., 303 N. 6th St., and 519 N. 3rd St. Apt. #25.

On Sunday Rebecca Louise Merrill, 2234 Meyer Ave., reported the theft of a uni-loader, a 5HP boat motor, three trolling boat motors, frozen meat and miscellaneous food, 10 boxes of Kent 20 gauge ammunition, 10 boxes of Kent 12 gauge ammunition, 10 boxes of 28 gauge ammunition, two Napa battery chargers and a boat battery. Estimated value of loss was $12,600.
On Sunday David Stanley Stonewall, of Gilman, reported the theft of seven Jeldwin windows and a 100 foot power cord from 3049 Yates Ave., Gilman. Estimated value of loss was $1,475.
On Saturday Bonita June Harland, 2942 Twinkle Hill Rd., reported the theft of two storm door dead bolts, a 40 gallon air compressor, a 15 gallon air compressor, two 50 foot air hoses, a air nail gun, an air staple gun, a Porter cable router, a Little Giant 25 foot ladder and 15 pounds of scrap copper wire from 1943 Zeller Ave. Estimated value of loss was $2,140.

On Friday Ezekiel Gonzalez Garcia, of Tama, was arrested for two counts of failure to appear.
On Friday Lin Aung, of Des Moines, was arrested for contempt.
On Nov. 17, Terra Kay Inman, 1401 S. 17th St., was arrested for absence from custody.
On Nov. 11, Kathleen Linnay Metivier, of State Center, was arrested for failure to appear, prohibited acts, domestic abuse assault and violation of probation.
On Oct. 30, Jose Luis Avalos, 307 Park St., was arrested for two counts of failure to appear.
