The charges keep rolling in for Jarvas Mitchell.
Police have added another first-degree robbery charge, three counts of assault and a count of operating a vehicle without the owner's consent to Mitchell's rap sheet.
"He is now a suspect in both Git-n-Go robberies," Capt. Mike Hanken of the Marshalltown Police Department said. "He admitted to one and upon further investigation it was determined that he was responsible for another."
Police arrested Mitchell, 18, Tuesday in connection with two of robberies in Marshalltown over the last six weeks.
Mitchell's assault charges, Class D felonies, are for allegedly brandishing a firearm at employees at the Kwik Star, Jan. 24 and the Git-n-Go on S. Center Street, Dec. 15, which he is accused of robbing, Hanken said.
The court has ordered Mitchell to have no contact with the alleged victims, according to court documents.
The operating a vehicle without the owner's consent charge, an aggravated misdemeanor, is because Mitchell allegedly drove a car that was not his own to commit the robberies of which he is accused, Hanken said.
Hanken said the robberies are still under investigation.
