Disagrees with coal plant claims

March 14, 2012
Don Crowley, Marshalltown , Times-Republican

The closer to the election, I continue to be amazed at the newly discovered effort (according to their lackey) that these two politicians, Smith and Sodders, went to encourage the building of the now cancelled coal fired power plant.

If their friend that the signs their quasi words of anguish in a letter to the editor is to be believed, these two politicians continue to emotionally suffer over the circumstance. They fought so hard to support the power company. The re-election contributions of the environmental lobbyist must have been sent by mistake. If you are a member of the AFL-CIO Union; and are seeking employment, perhaps their sympathetic grieving is obvious.

Many Republicans supported these two in times past but that respect has worn thin to non-existent. The politician's reaction to the revisited issue proves their sensitivity; otherwise, simply ignoring the subject, as a non-issue would not have refreshed our memory.
