John Wallace, 105 N. 9th Ave., made an initial appearance on a possession of a Schedule II Controlled substance (cocaine) with the intent to deliver charge, a possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance (marijuana) charge and a child endangerment charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his cases. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on March 30. Bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.

Bethany Mayer, 603 E. Main St. Apt. #2, made an initial appearance on a possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance (marijuana) charge, a child endangerment charge and a possession of a Schedule II Controlled substance (cocaine) with the intent to deliver charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her cases. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on March 30. Bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.

William Osborne, 205 N. 8th Ave., made an initial appearance on a possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance (marijuana) charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his case. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on April 9. Osborne was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered that he obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days.

Bradley Carter, 3202 S. 12th St. Apt. #12, made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his case. The file was sent to the District Court for scheduling of the Probation Revocation Hearing as their docket permits. Bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Devante Stewart, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his case. The Probation Revocation Hearing is set for 11:15 a.m. on April 13. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Amanda St. Clair, of Fort Dodge, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a jury trial/possession of a Controlled substance charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her case. The Pre-Trial Conference is rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. on March 30 and the Trial is rescheduled for 9 a.m. on April 5. Pamela Jones, 109 N. 2nd St. Apt. #3, made an initial appearance on two counts of a assault causing bodily injury charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her cases. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on March 30. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. No-contact orders were issued for the protected parties.

Andrew Jefferson, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a providing alcohol to a minor/failure to appear for general proceedings charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his case. The Plea Hearing is rescheduled at 3:30 p.m. on April 13. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

Logan Kelly, of Albion, made an initial appearance through counsel, Kevin O'Hare, on a driving under suspension charge. A Trial has been set for 9:30 a.m. on April 26. Kelly was released on his own recognizance.

Jacoby Jay, 305 Woodbury St., made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a traffic control device charge. He pleaded not guilty and will represent himself in this matter before the court. The Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on April 24. Jay was released on his own recognizance.

On Tuesday, Juan Ibanez, 119 E. State St. Apt. A, reported the theft of a Galaxy cell phone while in a locker in the Swift locker room, 402 N. 10th Ave. Estimated value of loss was $500.

On Tuesday, an employee with Walmart, 2802 S. Center St., reported the theft of a Sony Blue Ray DVD player, two Virgin Mobile Wildfire cell phones, an XBox 360 wireless controller and two Thumb Lites valued at $445.

On Tuesday, Selena Schoomaker, 612 Summit St., reported the theft of a Mongoose Rebel BMX bicycle and a Next 20 inch bicycle from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $200.

On Tuesday, Steven Lee Meyer, 407 W. Church St. Apt. #4, reported the theft of five bottles of men's cologne and three gold plated medals from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $100.

On Monday, Emanuel Eldon Mattingly, 503 W. Boone St., reported damage to 130 patio blocks at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $130.

On Saturday, Bradley Michael VanCleave, 409 N. 14th Ave., reported the theft of four DVDs, a code reader for automotive repair, cash, prescription drugs and a wallet from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $400.

On March 13, a person associated with Alliant Energy, 1911 E. Anson St., reported damage to a chain link fence at the business and the theft of sections of copper salvage. Estimated value of loss was $1,706.47.

Arrests

On March 15, Shalonya Meyann Diekman, of Fort Dodge, was arrested for theft and two counts of forgery.

On March 13, Ambria Elizabeth Price, 508 N. 2nd St., was arrested for probation violation.

On March 11, Michael Dwayne Graham, of Des Moines, was arrested for theft, third degree.

On March 3, Frederick Joseph Olson, of Mason City, was arrested for absence from custody.

Accidents

On Monday, a car driven by Michelle Lynn Cross, of Des Moines, was northbound on Durham Avenue when it came upon a large bird in the roadway, swerved to miss hitting it, went out of control, entered the west ditch where it rolled and came to rest on its top. Cross was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with minor injuries. Damage to the Cross car was estimated at $5,000.
