Arrests

On Sunday, Patrick Sharp, age 23, of Marshalltown, was arrested in the Beaman area for interference with official acts and assault on a peace officer. He posted bond and was released to the Marshall County authorities on a Marshall County warrant charging him with obstructing a court order.

On April 5, Jesse Oelmann, age 20, of Alden, was arrested on a Black Hawk County warrant charging him with probation violation. He was released to Black Hawk County authorities.

On April 2, Craig Hughie, age 46, of Independence, was arrested on Highway 14 for public intoxication and illegal possession of a prescription drug. He pleaded guilty and was released with time served.

On March 31, Justin Harrold, age 29, of Cedar Falls, was arrested at his home for domestic abuse assault. He posted bond and was released.

On March 20, Jason Smith, age 37, of Las Vegas, Nev., was arrested for public intoxication. He posted bond and was released.

On March 17, Jeffrey Stoneking, age 33, of Gladbrook, was arrested in Grundy Center on a Tama County warrant and released to Tama County authorities.

On March 17, Amber Van Hauen, age 22, of Grundy Center, was arrested for domestic abuse assault. She was released on promise to appear.

On March 17, David Miller, age 19, of Grundy Center, was arrested for possession of marijuana. He posted bond and was released.

On March 17, Dominic Ciddio, age 19, of Grundy Center, was arrested in Wellsburg on a Grundy County warrant charging him with possession of marijuana. He posted bond and was released.

Accidents

On April 5, a car driven by Jeanette Eckhoff, age 79, of Reinbeck, was southbound on T-55 when it struck a deer that had entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Eckhoff car was estimated at $2,500.

On April 3, a vehicle driven by Tyler Dietz, age 18, of Reinbeck, was southbound on V Avenue approaching the intersection with 130th Street when it went through the stop sign, went out of control, struck a concrete bridge, continued southbound where it overturned and ended up on its side in the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Dietz was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. Damage to the Dietz vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

On March 27, a car driven by Jared Callahan, age 25, of Marshalltown, was westbound on D-67 when it collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by Scott Woosley, age 33, of Conrad, which had slowed to turn into a driveway. No injuries were reported. Callahan was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Callahan car was estimated at $5,000 while the Woosley vehicle received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

On March 27, a car driven by Jeremy Halverson, age 19, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on D-67, stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with T-29 and then proceeded to turn onto T-29 and collided with a semi driven by Jerry Strottman, age 67, of Tripoli, which was traveling south on T-29. No injuries were reported. Halverson was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. Damage to the Halverson car was estimated at $3,500 while the Strottman semi received an estimated $1,500 in damage.

On March 25, a car driven by Emily Goodenbour, age 16, of Holland, was northbound on T Avenue when it went out of control on loose gravel, entered the ditch, rolled once and came to rest in a farm field. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Goodenbour car was estimated at $6,200.

On March 23, a vehicle driven by Holley Wulf, age 20, of Reinbeck, was westbound on Highway 175 east of Grundy Center when it struck a deer that entered the traveled portion of the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Wulf vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

On March 20, a car driven by Randall Clarke, age 60, of Reinbeck, was northbound on T-55 when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Clarke car was estimated at $2,000.

On March 9, a motorcycle driven by Todd Schafer, age 21, of Dike, was driving in Dike when it went out of control in the 200 block of Cedar. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Schafer motorcycle was estimated at $3,000.

Wednesday

Kimberly Sue Kent, 1011 E. Anson St., made an initial appearance on a theft, second degree charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her case. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on April 23. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Elena Ordonez, 105 N. Center St. Apt. #24, made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her case. The Scheduling Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on April 13. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety.

Robert Ray Radcliff, 713 Noble St., made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 due immediately.

Thursday

Raymond Leroy Horrel, 708 Union St. Apt. #1, made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. He pleaded not guilty and a Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on May 29. Horrel was released on his own recognizance.

Horrel also made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his case. He is being held on $10,000 bond, cash or surety.

Jordan Taylor Leeper, 2425 Jessup Ave., made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The Preliminary Hearing is set for 1 p.m. on May 2. Leeper was released through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact them prior to 4:30 p.m. on April 13.

Donnella Jo Fisher, 810 W. Lincolnway Apt. #1, made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. She pleaded not guilty and a Pre-Trial Conference is set for 9 a.m. on May 1. Bond will continue as posted.
