Lioness grateful for area merchants

The Marshalltown Lioness would like to thank all area merchants who donated prizes for our annual card party on April 13, as well as all the people who attended.

Among the area merchants whose generous donations of prizes helped make this fundraiser a great success are: Arnold Motor, Bath and Body Works, Ben's Tire, Brown Shoe Fit, Cecil's, Chalet, China Buffet, demon's Chevrolet, Designz by Dawn, Diamond Vogel, Encore Hair, Farmers Savings Bank, Floors and More, Godfathers, Hairdressers, Headliner, Home Federal, Hy-Vee Drugstore, In Stitches, Iowa Lumber, Isle of Green, JC Penney Salon, Jax Steakhouse, Jensen Ford, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Legends, Maria's , Mexican Antiguo, Marshalltown Community Theatre, Times-Republican, McGregors, Mike's Bikes & Fitness, Morning Glory, Napa Auto Parts, Neihouse Cleaners, Ocean City Chinese Restaurant, Pentz Appliance, Rainbow Car Wash, Sit and Sleep, Southard Implement, Strand Paint, Stalzers, Tangles, Staples, Starla's, Haven, Theisen's, Totem Bowl, Trendz, United Bank and Trust, Wells Fargo, 13th Street Inn and Willards.

The Lioness Club is a nonprofit organization who not only work with the Lions Club in providing sight and hearing projects, but also helps our community with their projects. This last year we assisted people with hearing aids, eye exams for children with lazy eye, delivered Meals on Wheels, donated to Relay for Life and did face painting and games at the Relay, sent two youths to diabetes camp and helped with numerous other community projects.

A special thank you to all the members of the Lioness Club who donated raffle items, food and their time to put on this event. To all who helped in any way, I say thank you.
