Former Marshall County Sun publisher arrested on drug charges

The former publisher of the defunct Marshall County Sun was arrested on felony drug charges Wednesday.

Max Nelson Jr., 54, is charged with two counts of delivering more than 5 grams of methamphetamine, a special Class B felony.

Nelson is being held on a $100,000 bond in the Marshall County Jail.

A Special Class B felony carries a maximum penalty of up to 25 years and $100,000 fine.

The Marshall County Sun has been defunct for more than 18 months.
