Incidents

On Monday, an employee with Walmart, 2802 S. Center St., reported the theft of assorted women's clothing, an XBox hard drive, a headphone set, two 360 ACCESS valued at $338.91.

On Monday, a staffer at Southridge Nursing, 309 W. Merle Hibbs Boulevard, reported the theft of four lawn chairs from the facility. Estimated value of loss was $100.

On Monday, Devison Salcedo Torres, 312 W. Church St., reported damage to a single paned window in a wooden door at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $150.

On Monday, Austin Fischer, of Ankeny, reported the theft of a Lennovo laptop computer and Oakley sunglasses from an unlocked apartment at Marshalltown Community College. Estimated value of loss was $620.

On Wednesday, a person reported for Emmanuel Magang, 134 E. Main St. Apt. #422, the theft of Sony speakers, CD player and tuner. Estimated value of loss was $150.

On Wednesday, a person associated with the Tallcorn Towers, 134 E. Main St., reported damage to a door frame during a burglary. Estimated value of damage was $120.

On Tuesday, an employee with the U.S. Postal Service, 309 E. Linn St., reported hit and run damage to the rear bumper on a postal vehicle while parked at 710 Roberts Terrace. Estimated value of damage was $300.

On Tuesday, Linda Sue Baedke, 207 W. Grant St. Apt. #2, reported damage to windows on a 2002 Ford Taurus while parked at her residence. Estimated value of damage was $1,000.

On May 4, a person reported for the City of Marshalltown, 24 N. Center St., hit and run damage to a tree located on the terrace at 109 S. 6th Ave. Estimated value of damage was $100.

Citations

On Monday, a male juvenile from Ames was cited for theft, fourth degree from Walmart.

On Monday, a female juvenile from Ames was cited for theft, fourth degree from Walmart.

On Monday, a female juvenile from Ames was cited for three counts of theft, fourth degree from Walmart, a theft charge (enhanced) and removal of a theft protection device.

On Monday, Jeremy Carl Odom, 908 S. 2nd Ave., was cited for two counts of dog at large.

On Monday, Dillon Million, 1007 S. 1st Ave., was cited for dog at large.

On Monday, Monique Lynn Woodsmall, 107 S. 6th Ave., was cited for criminal mischief, fifth degree.

On Sunday, a male juvenile from Marshalltown was cited for theft, fifth degree from Walmart.

On Sunday, a female juvenile from Marshalltown was cited for theft, fifth degree from Walmart.

On Sunday, Angel Valadez, 2900 S. Center St. #118, was cited for theft, fifth degree from Walmart and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

On Monday, LaShonda Duett Johnson, of Ames, was cited for theft from Walmart, theft (enhanced) and three counts of willfully involving juveniles in committing theft.

Arrests

On Monday, Dylan Michael Frye, 308 W. South St., was arrested for serious assault.

On Monday, Danny Triplett, 111 W. State St., was arrested for public intoxication.

On Monday, Maik Lira, 509 1/2 N. 1st St., was arrested for possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance (enhanced, marijuana).

On Tuesday, Casey Eugene Sheriff, 312 E. Boone St. Apt. #1, was arrested for felony domestic assault and violation of a no-contact order.

Accidents

On Tuesday, a car driven by Heather Christina Borton, 510 1/2 N. 3rd Ave., was eastbound in the alley to the east of the 500 block of North Second Avenue when at the intersection of a southbound alleyway it collided with a bicycle ridden by Jonathan Matthew Charlier, 408 N. 3rd Ave. Charlier was possibly injured, but not transported. Damage to the Charlier bike was estimated at $30 with the Borton car receiving an estimated $100 in damage.

On May 4, a Honda Accord driven by an as yet unknown driver was northbound on Sixth Avenue when it went onto the west terrace, struck a tree belonging to the City of Marshalltown, backed up and parked along the east curb and the occupants left the scene. No injuries were reported. Damage to the tree was estimated at $100 while the Honda received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

On May 2, a car driven by Catherine Elizabeth See, 1005 W. State St., was southbound on 13th Street when, due to the driver's lack of attention, it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Michael Douglas West, 608 Roberts Terrace. No injuries were reported. Damage to the See car was estimated at $2,000 while the West pickup received an estimated $200 in damage.

On April 16, a car driven by Haley Kay Williams, 2915 W. Lincolnway, had turned from Lilly Lane onto Lincolnway when it stuck a deer that had jumped onto the roadway from the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Williams car was estimated at $2,500.

On Wednesday, a car driven by Kimberly Kay Wall, 209 N. 19th St., was southbound on South 18th Avenue when it failed to negotiate the T-intersection to turn either east or west, spun out and ended up in the ditch south of the intersection. Wall was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Wall was cited for failure to maintain control and violation of financial liability/accident. Damage to the Wall car was estimated at $2,000. The accident is still under investigation.

Thursday

Jeremy Odom, 908 S. 2nd Ave., made an initial appearance on two counts of a dog at large charge. He pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 on each charge due immediately. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning June 7 until the debt is completed or in lieu of the fines and surcharges he may do 12 hours of community service for each charge plus pay court costs to be completed by Sept. 15.

Fernando Robles, 602 E. Anson St., made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle his case. The Probation Revocation Hearing is set for 10 a.m. on June 25. Bond will remain as posted.

Maschelle Duff, c/o Marshall County Jail, made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to handle her case. The Probation Revocation Hearing is set for 11 a.m. on June 11. No Bond was allowed in this case.

Russell Gentry, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a bond revocation/serious domestic assault charge. The court appointed Bethany Currie to represent him in this case. The Trial is set for 9 a.m. on June 7 with the Pre-Trial Conference set for 1:30 p.m. on June 1. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

Savannah Smyles Joy, 210 S. 5th St. (Upper), made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 due immediately. Incidents

On Monday, Debra Lynn Brown, 2336 Odessa St., reported the theft of eight Marlboro Red Cigarettes, two different IPod Nanos and cash from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $325.

On May 5, John Paul Wiese, of Rhodes, reported the theft of approximately 200 pounds of copper from 3024 Durham Ave., Rhodes. Estimated value of loss was $740.

On May 4, Anne Marie Davis, of State Center, reported the theft of a keyless remote entry device and scissors from 1713 250th St., Melbourne. Estimated value of loss was $655.

Arrests

On Monday, Deven Ray Spinks, of Boone, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.

On Monday, Daniel Miquel Murphy, of Des Moines, was arrested for failure to appear.

On May 5, Brandon Lee Mitchell, 3143 Garwin Rd., was arrested on a Marshalltown Police Department warrant charging him with willful injury and interference with official acts.

On May 4, Angela Marie Rubly, of Liscomb, was arrested for driving under suspension, failure to have a valid driver's license, failure to prove security against liability and operation without registration.

On May 4, Ralph Lee Zesch Sr., of Melbourne, was arrested for driving while barred, driving under suspension, failure to have a valid driver's license, failure to prove security against liability and improper registration plate lamp.

On May 4, Christopher Reid Salisbury, 4 E. Webster St., was arrested for interference with official acts, driving under suspension, failure to have a valid driver's license, failure to prove security against liability, failure to secure a child, 7-year-old, failure to secure a child, 1-month-old and speeding.

On May 3, Tara Jolene Klein, 2816 190th St., was arrested for operating while intoxicated, second offense, open container, failure to prove security against liability and stopping on paved part of roadway.

On May 2, Joshua Thomas Warnell, of Tama, was arrested for absence from custody and probation violation.

On May 1, Mindy Marie Laird, 3194 Quarry Rd., was arrested for assault on a peace officer.

On April 30, Jorge Eduardo Perez, 409 Woodbury St., was arrested for possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance, driving under suspension, improper plate lamp and no insurance.

On April 30, Xue Hui Lin, 209 Plaza Heights Rd., was arrested for providing false information on an application for license of identification cards.

On April 27, Van Allen Gentry 118 N. Center St. Apt. #1, and Clarinda Correctional Facility, was arrested for absence from custody.

On April 27, Jorge Luis Ibarra-Ledezma, 506 E. State St., was arrested for failure to serve time for operating while intoxicated charge.

On April 27, Martha A. Joseph, 1401 S. 17th Ave., Halfway House, was arrested for absence from custody.

On April 27, Katie Leigh Baker, 1401 S. 17th Ave., and 612 Bromley St., was arrested for violation of probation.

On April 26, Nathan Lee Bagur, Homeless, was arrested for failure to comply with the sex offender registry regulations.

Accidents

On Monday, a car driven by Lucas James Kramer, of Salem, was westbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kramer car was estimated at $3,000.
