Although summer is always a busy time of year for families, it is also a great time for doing things as a family that are a little out of the ordinary and fun for everyone. These next few weeks in Marshalltown offer great, inexpensive family entertainment for all ages. I urge everyone to go see the Orpheum's summer theater musical Honk! It runs the weekends of June 8-10 and June 14-17. Ticket prices are very reasonable for a production of this caliber.
This terrific musical adaptation of the "Ugly Duckling" story under Rod Caspar's professional direction, complemented by Pip Gordon's beautiful scenic and lighting design, will undoubtedly delight audiences. It is a wonderful opportunity for Marshalltown to enjoy a truly professionally produced show in a unique and intimate setting. It is also a great chance for those who have not yet had the pleasure of seeing the extent of the Orpheum's renovation to view it firsthand. Tickets are limited, so please purchase them soon. I'm sure everyone in the family will enjoy this unique and wonderful entertainment.
