The 12th annual "Grimes Farm Run A Walk in the Park" was a charmed event. Race day dawned with the most pleasant temperatures we had seen in days. Saturday afternoon, once all race gear was cleaned up, the Grimes Farm received 1.33 inches of much needed rain. Perfect timing!
Runners and walkers numbering over 140 enjoyed the day. One race participant said, "I have ridden my bike out here lots of times, but I thought the Grimes Farm ended at the shelter ... there is so much more to explore!" We encourage everyone to take advantage of the many grassy trails the staff keep beautifully mowed. Trail loops have been designed to meet many different difficulty levels and distances. Race proceeds will be used to create maps and marking for the trails.
