The Marshalltown High School football team begins its practices today at 8 a.m. and will run daily at MHS.
The Bobcats' intrasquad scrimmages are set for Aug. 10, and the season kicks off on Aug. 17 at Ankeny.
Wallace to be in town
Veteran NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace will appear at the U.S. Cellular Store at 901 South Center Street on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
Wallace and the U.S. Cellular 250 Pace Car will make an appearance, and fans will have an opportunity to get Wallace's autograph and have free pictures taken with the pace car.
The U.S. Cellular 250 NASCAR Nationwide race will be on Saturday at the Iowa Speedway in Newton.
