Danny Hap Darrow, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order. The court appointed Norma Meade to represent him in this case. The file was sent to the District Court for review to see if further proceedings should be scheduled. Darrow was released on his own recognizance.

Tanata Renee Williams, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a warrant charging her with operating while intoxicated first-offense. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 9. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety. The court ordered that upon release Williams obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of release.

Mindy Lynn Reed, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a unlawful possession of prescription drugs charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a trespass charge. The court appointed the public defender's office pending receipt of her application for counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 9. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. The Marshalltown Police Department requested that she be photographed and fingerprinted by 9 a.m. on Nov. 2.

Shanya Joy Lindsay, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a probation revocation charge. Lindsay will hire Chad Frese to represent her in this matter. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled through the District Court as their docket permits. Bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.

Zhuoxi Lin, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a no registration charge and a no insurance charge. He pleaded guilty to both charges. On the no registration charge the fine was $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50, due immediately. The fine on the no insurance charge was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due immediately.

Maria Lopez de Ramirez, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft, fourth degree charge. She will represent herself at this time. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 19. Lopez de Ramirez was released on her own recognizance.

Ryan Purdy, 2328A Zeller Ave., made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Dec. 4.

Darryl Zeigler, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a window tint violation charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Dec. 4.

Joshua Goemaat, of Hamilton, made an initial appearance on a theft fifth-degree charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Dec. 4. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The court also ordered that he be fingerprinted and photographed upon release.

Antonia Cardinas, 316 Thomas Dr., made an initial appearance on a theft fourth-degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 19.

Trevor Cameron Smith, 2204 Wakefield Dr., made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50, due immediately.

Marisela Ramirez, 316 Thomas Dr., made an initial appearance on a theft third-degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 19.
