Joyce Beverly Clark, 81, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the time of funeral service. Interment will be at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery. The State St. Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes, formerly Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Joyce was born Feb. 14, 1931, to Ernst H. and Vera D. (Jepsen) Albrecht in Davenport. She was united in marriage to Roger L. Clark, Dec. 26, 1949. They met while both working at the M.L. Parker Co. in Davenport. They relocated to Lafayette, Ind., then Racine, Wis., before returning to Iowa to be close to family in later years. Joyce worked as a nurses aid in hospitals and nursing homes over the years. She was also a talented artist and did free lance artwork for various department stores. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Holly Clark, of Afton, Va.; sister Pat Mayer, of Clinton, and brother Jack Albrecht, of Eldridge, seven nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger; brother Ernst P. Albrecht; sister June D. Walters and brother Robert R. Albrecht.
