DES MOINES - Kyndal Clark scored a game-high 25 points and Carly Grenfell poured in 20 more as the Drake women's basketball team took care of Upper Iowa, 81-51, in its exhibition finale Wednesday night at the Knapp Center.
The Bulldogs shot 51 percent from the field as a team and 47 percent from 3-point range in the win. Grenfell was 3-for-4 from distance, and Drake jumped out to a 52-30 halftime lead on the Peacocks.
Alyssa Marschner tallied nine assists to go with her six points for Drake, while Morgan Reid and Emma Donahue both blocked three shots.
Whitney Kieffer led Upper Iowa with 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and four steals. Olivia Meier chipped in 12 points.
Drake opens the regular season at home on Sunday afternoon, hosting South Dakota at 2:05 p.m.
