The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a fire call Friday afternoon at 505 S. Second Street, just north of the train tracks. Relatives of the resident of the home said the fire started in an upstairs bedroom and did significant damage to property inside. No injuries were reported and the fire was under investigation.
