Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force officers concluded another drug investigation Tuesday, arresting three area men.

Rogelio Torres, 21, Lance Schaum, 22, both of Marshalltown, and Landon Seye, 21, of Eldora, all face drug charges relating to the arrest.

Marshall County Chief Deputy Burt Tecklenburg said the arrest took place at Torres's home at 209 N. Second St. sometime between 4:30 and 5 a.m. Six or seven people were in the home during the raid, but only Schaum, Torres and Seye face charges.

Police charged Torres with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class B felony, possession of a firearm as a felon, failure to affix drug tax stamp and sponsoring a drug gathering, all Class D felonies, possession of marijuana and prescription drugs, both serious misdemeanors, and interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor.

Seye faces possession of meth, a serious misdemeanor, and Schaum faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with official acts, both simple misdemeanors.

Tecklenburg said the arrest is unrelated to a bust where deputies recovered 10 pounds of meth Friday, but that more arrests are pending as the investigation continues.

In addition to the drugs, police recovered a revolver, a rifle, ammunition, money and stolen property.

Tecklenburg said he was unable to comment as to what the property was or to which crime it is connected. Details as to how much money and narcotics deputies recovered were not available at press time.

In order to be charged with intent to deliver, Torres would have had to have at least five grams of meth in his possession.

The Marshalltown Police Department, MPD Tactical Team and K-9 unit assisted the Marshall County Sheriff's Office in executing the search warrant.

Torres was on parole for drug charges stemming from a 2009 arrest. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
