Hypocrites react to Petraeus affair

November 14, 2012
William Tempelmeyer, Marshalltown , Times-Republican

As an 81-year-old, long-retired CEO, I still enjoy the hypocrites who are shocked, appalled and dismayed at the sex lives of successful people. So let's set up an experiment. First we'll go to any large football game i.e. professional or major university with a crowd of 80,000 or 100,000 spectators.

Then just before the starting kickoff an announcement comes over the public address system announcing that "everyone in the stadium who has ever engaged in an illicit sex act with anyone to whom they were not legally married at the time" must leave the stadium immediately.

The question is, how many people will still be there to watch the game, officiate, play ball, sell popcorn, tickets or keep score?

I also wrote "A Handbook for Bigots" if anyone is interested.
