A live nativity scene will be one of the many attractions at the Holiday Stroll this year.
The scene will be presented by Quakerdale Wolfe Ranch at the green space near Farmers Savings Bank at the corner of Main Street and Second Street.
It will feature the holy family, live animals and music.
A live nativity scene will be presented by the Quakerdale Wolfe Ranch from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Main Street and Second Street as part of the Holiday Stroll. The area is the green space just east of Farmers Savings Bank.
"We do a Christmas at the Stable program at the ranch, and we got asked to do the stroll this year," said Jennifer Daniel of the ranch. "It's an honor to do it."
The live animals are expected to include a cow, a horse and possibly a donkey and sheep or goats.
"They will be really gentle so kids can come pet them and touch them," Daniel said.
The scene will be made up of 4-H and Quakerdale kids and volunteers. Daniel said often people are moved by visiting the scene.
"It reminds them what the reason is for the season," she said.
The scene will be set up from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The night will also include a lighted parade with Santa beginning at 5 p.m., holiday music and special deals throughout the shops, and the lighting of the courthouse lawn display, which will follow the parade.
