COUNCIL BLUFFS - NJCAA Division I No. 8-ranked Iowa Western clobbered the Marshalltown Community College women's basketball team 87-30 on Tuesday night.
The visiting Tigers (2-4) got outscored 50-11 in the second half to become the ninth straight victim of Iowa Western (9-0).
Leah Scott scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Reivers.
Latrice McMullen posted team-highs of nine points and 14 rebounds to pace MCC. Ashley Salgado chipped in with seven points for the Tigers, who are off until visiting the Loras College junior varsity on Dec. 7. Marshalltown's next home game follows on Dec. 9 against the Coe JV.
