The Marshall County Board of Supervisors approved a holiday tradition as part of a brief agenda during Tuesday's meeting.
The board approved to have the Career Development Center bell choir perform at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14 in the courthouse rotunda.
"They do a great job and we have a lot of fun playing along with them," said Denny Grabenbauer, chair of the supervisors.
The CDC assists adults with disabilities. The free performance is open to the public typically helps boost holiday cheer.
"It's kind of the highlight of the end of the year," said Supervisor Dave Thompson.
In other action, the board omitted the July 2, 2013 supervisors meeting due to a meeting already scheduled on June 28, 2013 to close out the fiscal year.
County Engineer Paul Geilenfeldt said the new bridge on 310th Street southeast of Melbourne opened Tuesday. The $300,000 bridge was completed by Iowa Bridge and Culvert of Washington.
