AMES - One of the first two players off the bench for the Iowa State women's basketball team will no longer be at head coach Bill Fennelly's disposal.
Freshman Emiah Bingley, a 5-foot-7 guard from Greenwood, Mo., has decided to transfer from the program, Fennelly announced Wednesday.
"Emiah informed me of her decision to transfer at the conclusion of the fall semester to a program that will be a better fit for her personally and on the basketball court," Fennelly said. "We wish her the best in the future."
Bingley has played in all seven games for the 6-1 Cyclones this season, starting twice. She is sixth on the team in minutes played, averaging 5 points and 19 minutes per game.
Iowa State returns to action on Monday against Northern Iowa at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
