Aaron Hauser scored 15 points for the Marshalltown sophomore boys' basketball squad on Tuesday night, but it was not enough against Indianola.
The Indians led throughout in a 77-31 win and dropped the Bobcats to 1-5 on the season.
Jordan Smith finished with seven points, while Hunter Riedl added three in the loss.
Marshalltown travels to Ames on Friday.
Conaway honored by Gatorade
CHICAGO - The Gatorade Company announced that Alexis Conaway of MOC-Floyd Valley has been named its 2012-13 Gatorade Iowa Volleyball Player of the Year.
The 6-foot junior outside hitter led the Lady Dutch to the Class 3A state title this past volleyball season, recording 489 kills, 79 blocks and 51 service aces to go with a .435 hitting percentage. Conaway was named the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Player of the Year as well as the captain of the Class 3A state all-tournament team.
