Genevieve (Genny) Case, 76, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at her home in Marshalltown. A celebration of Genny's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation for Genny will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends. Genevieve (Genny) Case was born Aug. 16, 1936, in Marshalltown. She was the daughter of John C. Wardman and Leonora (Snyder) Wardman. Genny grew up and was educated in the Albion school district graduating from Albion High School. She was united in marriage to Floyd Case in Aug. 20, 1962, in Ashton, Ill. Genny was employed with the Piggly Wiggly, Seberg Pharmacy, as well as volunteering in the Texas school systems. She was a member of the Albion Presbyterian Church and a member of the choir as well as the Marietta club. Genny's hobbies and interest included her family, Swedish weaving, family history including genealogy history, crafts, camping, photos, gardening and wintering in Texas. She especially enjoyed feeding and watching birds. Genny will be greatly remembered for taking the extra step for everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Case; her children: Duane (Dena) Farland and Roberta (Alan) Savage; grandchildren: Megan Needs, Angela Farland, Coty Savage, Tim Savage, Sarah Neuroth, Aaron (Laura) Neuroth; great-grandchildren: Jonathan Needs, Jadon Neuroth, Sophia Neuroth and her sister and brother, Helen Bailey and John (Brenda) Wardman and many other family members that meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
