The Marshalltown junior varsity girls' basketball team was defeated 58-30 by Southeast Polk Tuesday at Lenihan.
Molly Major led the Bobcats (4-6) with 12 points. Emily Rebik added seven points and Karli McClure had five.
MHS returns to action after the holiday break with a road game Jan. 5 at Urbandale.
Rams no match for MHS frosh boys
The Marshalltown freshman boys' basketball team took down Southeast Polk by a 63-54 score on Tuesday night.
Sam Rogers and Kyler Ladehoff scored 19 points apiece to lead the Bobcats (5-4), while Drake Slifer had 14 points and Tony Smith chipped in seven.
The Bobcats do not play again until after the holiday break, going to Boone on Jan. 3 for a 6 p.m. contest.
Bobcat sophomore boys fall to Rams
Austin Hauser scored 11 points for the Marshalltown sophomore team Tuesday night, but the Bobcats still fell to Southeast Polk, 53-32.
Jordan Smith scored seven in the loss, while Hunter Reidl and Brandin Chaloupek each had four.
The MHS sophomores fell to 1-7 on the year and will next play Jan. 3 at Boone.
