A malfunctioning helicopter has closed East Main Street in downtown Marshalltown.
The air ambulance was unable to land at its regular location at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Instead, it landed on East Main, where it is currently stalled. The Marshalltown Police Department is asking residents to avoid the area from the 300-500 block for several hours.
