Neva Petersen, 83, of Gladbrook, died Saturday, January 19th, at Grundy Memorial Hospital, Grundy Center, Iowa.
She was born Aug. 8, 1929, near Dinsdale, daughter of Ernest and Emma Ehrig. She married Walter Petersen June 15th, 1957 at Amity Church. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Petersen graduated from Dinsdale High School and Iowa Teacher's College. She taught school in several rural Iowa schools, and later worked as a partner to her husband on the family farm. She was a member of Salem Church of Lincoln.
Survived by: two sons, Douglas Petersen of Gladbrook, William (Crystal) Petersen of Gladbrook; one daughter, Sara (David) Quarles of Lee's Summit, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor and Levi Petersen of Gladbrook, and Bryan Quarles of San Antonio, Texas.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Salem Church of Lincoln. Visitation preceding the service from 1 to 2 p.m.
Memorials: Cedar Valley Hospice and Salem Church of Lincoln.
Neva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events and playing bingo with her friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
