Terrance Williams, 9 1/2 S. 9th St., made an initial appearance on a interference with official acts charge and a trespass charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. These cases will be continued with his operating while intoxicated-first offense charge, disorderly conduct charge, public urination charge, simple assault charge, careless driving charge, no insurance charge and failure to caution to an emergency vehicle charge. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only. If bond is made then he is released through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact them immediately.

Matt Feld, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-fourth degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 14. Feld is released through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact them and sign a pre-trial release form immediately.

Aristeo Hernandez, 602 Lee St., made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-fourth degree charge and a serious domestic assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 18. Hernandez was released through the Department of Correctional Services and is to contact them within 24 hours. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Christopher Jerome Kapayou, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a no insurance-accident charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 26. Kapayou was released on his own recognizance.

Tim Todd Weese, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The file will be sent to the District Associate Court for scheduling of his probation revocation hearing as their docket permits. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Jamie Lopez, 2144N Marsh Ave., made an initial appearance on a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 18. Lopez was released on her own recognizance.

Steven Ray Ralls, of Rhodes, made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order charge, a criminal mischief-fifth degree charge and a serious assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. On the serious assault charge the preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 8. The criminal mischief-fifth degree charge was continued until further notice from the court. The file on the violation of a no-contact order was sent to the District Associate Court for scheduling of a contempt hearing as their docket permits. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. If bond is met Ralls is to go immediately to the Department of Correctional Services and abide by their regulations for pre-trial release. No-contact orders were issued for all protected parties in this case.

Ronald Barry Pendergast, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge, a operation without valid registration charge, a no insurance charge, a failure to carry a registration card charge and a unlawful use of a license charge. He pleaded guilty to all charges. On the driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended and the no insurance charges the fines were $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 on each, due within 30 days. The fines on the operation without valid registration and failure to carry a registration card were $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.57 on each, due within 30 days. On the unlawful use of a driver's license the fine was $75 with a $26.25 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $161.25, due within 30 days.

Jaylani Devin Whiteside, of Ankeny, made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The file was sent to the District Associate Court for scheduling of the probation revocation hearing as their docket permits. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Armando Lemus, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a speeding charge and a driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge. He pleaded guilty to both charges. On the speeding charge the fine was $125 with a $43.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $228.75, due within 30 days. The fine on the driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended charge was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.
