Nathan Scott Krier, 30, of Marshalltown passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31st at Alice Church of God in Conrad, Iowa. The Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes assisted the family. Online condolences may be sent to

Nathan was born on September 2, 1982 to Betty and Dudley Krier in Iowa City, Iowa. He attended high school in Marshalltown and received his associates degree of science from Des Moines Area Community College. Nathan worked in the insurance industry for many years and was a licensed insurance agent. He enjoyed volunteer work and was a founding member of the Annual Corporate Volunteerism Committee at Principal Financial, and an active member of his department's Spirit Committee. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends, and will be remembered for his outgoing personality, love of life and his beautiful smile.
