IOWA CITY - Jaime Printy became the sixth women's basketball player in University of Iowa history to eclipse 1,700 points when her 14 helped the Hawkeyes top then-No. 23 Michigan in Ann Arbor, and on Tuesday she received her sixth weekly honor from the Big Ten Conference.
Printy picked up the league's Player of the Week award after averaging 21.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a pair of Hawkeye victories last week.
She had 29 in a home win over Wisconsin in which she shot 8-for-10 from the field, 3-for-3 from 3-point range, and 10-of-11 at the free-throw line. Printy scored 14 straight for the Hawkeyes.
This is the second Player of the Week honor for Printy, a Marion native who was four times selected the Big Ten's Freshman of the Week in 2009-10.
The Hawkeyes return to action Thursday at Illinois.
