Marshall County Sheriff
On Jan. 21, an employee with Nelson Fabrication, 2080 Marshalltown Boulevard, reported the theft of a Snap-on prolink IQ kit, a 600 pound torque wrench, 13 computer items, an IQ SW-LMT, a Caterpillar, a Wabco ABS-Hydraulic, an IQ SW-Cat electronic engine, an HDS and a Wabco ABS-Air. Estimated value of loss was $7,000.
On Feb. 1, Louis Young, of Waterloo, was arrested for failure to appear for a contempt hearing.
On Jan. 28, Ronald Barry Pendergast, of Des Moines, was arrested for failure to appear.
On Jan. 28, Steven Ray Ralls, of State Center, was arrested for aggravated assault and criminal mischief-fourth degree.
On Jan. 30, Stanley Thomas Fenske Jr., of Gilman, was arrested for parole violation charge, a serious assault charge and a failure to appear at arraignment charge.
On Jan. 28, Jaylani Devin Whiteside, 512 N. 3rd Ave., was arrested for probation violation.
On Jan. 28, Timothy Todd Weese, of Gilman, was arrested for violation of probation.
On Jan. 27, Danielle Marie Williams, of New Virginia, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense, no valid driver's license and no insurance.
On Jan. 30, car driven by Alfredo Piedra, of Columbus Junction, was eastbound on Highway 30 in the outside lane when it went out of control and collided with a vehicle driven by Joseph Michael Brafford, of Nevada, which was also traveling east in the inside lane. The Piedra car entered the south ditch where it came to rest and the Brafford vehicle came to rest on the south shoulder of the road. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Piedra car was estimated at $1,000 while the Brafford vehicle received an estimated $500 in damage.
On Jan. 29, a car driven by Duane John Tamminga, of Eldora, was southbound on Highland Acres Road when it struck a deer causing damage to the front of his vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Tamminga car was estimated at $1,500.
Marshalltown Fire Department
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to Highway 14 North and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 20 E. State St., 1002 S. 3rd Ave., 8 Santa Barbara Dr., and 206 Nicholas Dr.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a special call at 714 Noble St., a call to 3311 270th St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1505 Fremont St., 105 N. Center St., 1602 S. 2nd Ave., 1111 Jackson St., and 303 Nicholas Dr.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two fire calls at 106 College Dr., a rescue call to 209 N. 14th Ave., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 510 N. 4th St., 2907 S. 6th St., 1101 Woodbury St., and 1211 W. State St.
