PEORIA, Ill. - Marc Sonnen scored 15 points and Northern Iowa held on to beat Bradley 68-65 on Sunday.
Matt Bohannon and Jake Koch scored 14 points apiece and Anthony James added 10 points for the Panthers (14-11, 7-6 Missouri Valley).
Northern Iowa led 37-18 at halftime. Bradley shot 66 percent in the second half but couldn't overtake Northern Iowa. The Braves came within 66-65 with 15 seconds to play, but Koch made two free throws to complete the scoring.
Dyricus Simms-Edwards scored a career-high 32 points for the Braves (14-11, 6-7), hitting five 3-pointers and 26 points in the second half. Walt Lemon Jr. had 18 points and nine rebounds for Bradley.
