Alfred "Al" Hofer, 80, of State Center died Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Funeral services for Alfred will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 6 at the First United Methodist Church in State Center. Visitation for Al will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home West Marshall Chapel, in State Center. Memorials may be directed in Al's name to his family. Al is survived by his wife of 60 years: Iona; children: Ronald (Elaine) Hofer, Earl (Kathy) Hofer and Lorica Hofer; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother Ben (Betty) Hofer.
