Jeremy Mills won his second Frostbuster feature in as many nights Friday at Marshalltown Speedway.

Mills chased down leader Luke Wanninger in lapped traffic before midway while Jay Noteboom and Todd Shute worked their way toward the front of the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified field.

The only caution of the 30-lap contest came with six circuits to go. Wanninger wasn't involved in the incident but went pitside with a flat tire while under yellow.

Mills inherited the lead, then held off Noteboom to take the $1,000 win, his career first at Marshalltown. His first Frostbuster checkers of the week had come Thursday at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines.

Shute started 18th and finished third. Hunter Marriott was fourth and rookie Racer Hulin was fifth.

More than 190 cars from 10 states and Canada saw action at Marshalltown Friday evening.

Steve Meyer led the last 19 of 20 laps in winning the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Ty Luellen dominated the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main and Nick Murty stopped in victory lane despite finishing the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature with no brakes.

After a quick caution, the Stock Car feature went 20 laps green to checkered. Todd Reitzler led the first time around before Meyer took charge.

John Heinz passed Reitzler for second late in the race. Damon Murty was fourth and Michael Jaennette was fifth.

The Northern SportMods also had an early restart but once underway the only thing slowing Luellen down was lapped traffic.

Clint Luellen challenged before settling for second. Tracy Wassenberg, Austin Kaplan and Geoff Olson completed the top five.

Jamie Songer paced the first lap of the Hobby Stock feature before Murty got by. Devin Smith chased Murty down before the sole caution with two laps left.

Murty held off Smith from that point, then told his victory lane interviewer that he finished with no brakes. Smith, Donavon Nunnikhoven, Eric Stanton and Aaron Rudolph were next across the stripe.

Frostbusters were Saturday at Boone Speedway and tonight at Benton County Speedway in Vinton. The rescheduled event at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa will be Wednesday.

First local track points will be awarded at Marshalltown next Friday.
