"There's lots of excitement," said Stephen Larson, perishables manager at Hy-Vee. "We've had nothing but positive comments."

Larson said the anticipation from customers has increased since the equipment started arriving. The Starbucks will be run by Hy-Vee in the former Bank of the West location in the store and feature a full line of coffee products.

"We'll have over 100 different drinks," Larson said.

There will also be seating inside the location or customers can get a cup of coffee and take it shopping with them in the grocery store. The hours will of operation will be daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Larson said the newness of having a Starbucks in Marshalltown has led to the heightened excitement level.

"It's something that's never been offered in Marshalltown," he said.
