It can only take a few moments over a lunch hour to be able to show support for children and the efforts of child abuse prevention.
The annual Stand up for Children rally, presented by Child Abuse Prevention Services, will be held from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Friday on the Marshall County Courthouse lawn.
"It's just a time to emphasize the importance of prevention," said Laurie Gowdy, community awareness director with CAPS. "Speakers will talk about how they stand up for children in their personal or professional lives. We'll also take a moment to recognize the victims of child abuse."
