Architect recognized for public service in the State Center

Kerry Weig, AIA, a member of the American Institute of Architects Iowa Chapter has been recognized as a participant in the AIA Iowa Citizen Architect Program by AIA Iowa for service to the State Center area.

Weig, of INVISION Architecture, serves as a volunteer on the State Center Development Association. This organization promotes the rehabilitation of buildings on the main street for resales to businesses and community members. Currently, she is volunteering on the Wood's Hospital Building on Main Street to provide architectural guidance in material selection that is respectful to the historic building, but also is as environmental as possible.

Federal Savings Bank hires new director

The board of directors of Home Federal Savings Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy Bartlett to the position of director of operations.

Bartlett joins Home Federal from Grinnell State Bank in Grinnell where he served as vice president and director of information technology.

He attended Buena Vista University where he received his bachelor of arts degree in business management. He went on to earn both a master of public administration and a master of accounting degrees at Drake University in Des Moines. Additionally, Bartlett has achieved the following certifications: information system manager, internal auditor and information systems auditor.

Bartlett, his wife Andrea and their three children; Regan, 11, Samuel, 8, and Maxwell, 3, will relocate to the Rochester, Minn. area.
