Helen was born in Huron, S.D., on July 24, 1920, to William and Lillian Allen. She loved the outdoors, taking long walks, feeding the wildlife whether it be birds, squirrels or pesky chipmunks who constantly dined on her flowers. With her husband Wayne and children, she took yearly fishing trips spending time on the lakes of Minnesota enjoying family, fishing and the quietness of the outdoors. In her late 60's, Helen turned her attention to painting. She was a self-taught artist whose paintings are enjoyed in many homes. Helen was a strong woman who was always there for her family whether it was breaking up fights between three rambunctious boys or sewing clothes for her only daughter.
Those thankful for having shared her life are two sons: Bud (Kay) Evans, of Bevier, Mo., Jerry (Linda) Evans, of Summersville, Mo.; a daughter, Colleen (Tom) Sharer, of Gilbert, Ariz., 14 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Bob Evans; three brothers and a sister.
