Shirley F. Jury, 75, died peacefully in her sleep the morning of May 18, 2013 following a 19-month battle with a brain tumor.
Shirley was born on March 21, 1938 in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada. She married Floyd Jury in 1957 and they called Marshalltown home for the majority of their married lives. At the time of her death, Shirley resided in Wilmington, DE where she and Floyd moved in 2011 to be near their daughters.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Donald Flint, Grace Nicholls Flint, and Dorothy Truman Flint. Primary survivors include her husband, Floyd; son, Michael, and his daughters Leah and Lily; daughter, Melanie (Smith), and her husband, Todd; daughter, Michelle. She is also survived by her two brothers, her sister, and extended family throughout the world.
Shirley's body will be cremated and a memorial ceremony will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown, Iowa on May 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Delaware Veteran's Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.
