MACS student a good writer, cook

Whether it's in her writing or in her cooking, Isabel Caracoza has shown a flair for being creative.

Caracoza, 9, is a third grader at Marshalltown Area Catholic School.

"She is a very creative writer and always full of new stories," said her teacher, Jennifer Smock. "She's a great student."

Caracoza said it's important to pay attention in school to learn more. She said one day she would like to become a chef.

"I like to cook," Caracoza said. "I'm best at making lasagna."
