SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Marshalltown High School graduate Nick Thimesch has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America third team as a member of the Drury University baseball team.

Thimesch, a junior outfielder, batted .387 and set a new Drury single-season record for hits (82) while also leading the Panthers with 18 stolen bases.

The Times-Republican's 2010 All-Area Baseball Player of the Year, Thimesch is one of three All-Americans in the seven-year history of Drury's NCAA Division II program. He was also selected to the Daktronics All-Midwest Region first team and the ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region squad.
