Jessica Howland, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-fifth degree charge. Jason Nauman, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. July 19. Nauman was released through the Department of Correctional Services and is report to them by 4 p.m. today. The court ordered him to appear at the Marshalltown Police Department within the next eight hours to be photographed and fingerprinted.
