I have just read the account of Frank Lewis Glick in the June 2 edition of Past Times. It is an interesting tribute to a local hero. First Sergeant Glick came from a prominent family in Marshalltown's early history and served his town and country well in World War I. I am sure other Marshalltown residents learned as much as I did about this local man for whom the American Legion Post is named. Mr. Steve Hansen, who contributed much to the article, also has set up a website where there is more information, pictures and charts about the Glick family. If other people are as fascinated as I am about Frank Lewis Glick, they may learn more at frankglick.wordpress.com/2013/05/20/frank-glick/. If they have information or memorabilia to add, or have questions about Glick, this is a great resource.
Thank you for the article about Frank Lewis Glick. I hope you publish more articles about other Marshalltown servicemen and women.
