Times-Republican

This summer, Marshalltown Community College will be sponsoring the inaugural Stoplight Riding Lawn Mower, Golf Cart and Tractor Parade in Toledo. Come and bring your families for a night of fun and entertainment as you watch community members display their best or their worst tractors, golf carts and lawn mowers.

Prizes will be awarded to the: nicest lawn mower, golf cart and tractor; best-decorated lawn mower, golf cart and tractor; and oldest lawn mower, golf cart and tractor.

The festivities will take place starting at 5:30 p.m. July 3. Parade will line up at 5 p.m. by the middle school, at the corner of East Carlton and Green Street. It will then go north on Green Street, west on High Street through downtown and disseminate by turning north on Main Street.

There is no entry fee for participation. Participants are encouraged to decorate their entry in red, white and blue, but other fun themes may be accepted. If you would like to throw candy feel free to bring some with you. If you're interested in participating in the parade, please contact Nathan Davis at 641-844-5711 or Nathanial.Davis@iavalley.edu.
