Police are asking for the public's help in obtaining information surrounding the death of a local woman late Saturday night.
As part of a routine patrol just after midnight Sunday, a Marshall County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted a blue Chrysler Town and County minivan parked on the 2900 mile of East Main Street Road. A search of the minivan revealed the body of 55-year-old Rebecca Hall.
Emergency responders arrived on scene, but the Marshall County medical examiner pronounced Hall dead. Police suspect foul play, but a news release issued by the sheriff's office did not indicate how Hall died or whether police made any arrests or have any suspects. An autopsy will be performed at later date. Police impounded the minivan.
Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in obtaining information surrounding Hall's death. Motorists that traveled approximately one mile from 18th Avenue along East Main Street Road Saturday night and saw the minivan, which was parked on the street's north side pointed west, or any suspicious activity, or those who saw Hall Saturday, should contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office at 641-754-6380 or the communication center at 641-754-5725.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office, Division of Criminal Investigation and Marshall County Attorney's Office will continue to investigate Hall's death. No further details were available Sunday.
