“Bassmeister” and friends at the Le Grand Library

July 15, 2013
Times-Republican

At 1 p.m. July 18 , the Le Grand Pioneer Heritage Library, 204 N. Vine St., Le Grand, will present "Fishing for Laughs" with the "Bassmeister." The "Bassmeister" is a fun and entertaining guy from Milwaukee, Wis., who brings the excitement of fishing into the lives of children. His "Fishing for Laughs" comedy show is full of clean humor, audience participation, ventriloquism, visual props, illusions and puppets. Shows are designed to be fast paced, high energy and very entertaining for the kids. You will almost never see a child get bored with this quick moving presentation of comedy and variety. Children will get involved directly on stage with The "Bassmeister," as important topics get covered, such as water safety and using fishing lures, but these topics are not overly "preachy" and do not take over the entire show. Kids will meet whimsical and crazy puppets, get to be a part of the show, and have a fun time from start to finish. Kids will learn fishing basics, learn about different types of lures and get directly involved with demonstrations on stage. "Fishing for Laughs," will have the audience laughing, and the children begging to be the next volunteer to assist. Children who attend will also be entered in a prize drawing for a fishing rod.
