July 15

Natrisha Banks, 207 N. 13th St. (Upper), made an initial appearance on warrants for a probation revocation charge and a failure to appear for an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Previously appointed Jennifer Meyer will continue representation as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 2 p.m. July 22. The initial appearance for public intoxication will be handled at the same hearing. No bond was allowed on the probation revocation charge.

Victoria Dawn Martin Estrada, 12 N. 10th St., made an initial appearance on a credit card fraud charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 2. Martin Estrada was released on her own recognizance.

Donny Keith Fleming, of Garwin, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge. He will hire Barry Kaplan to represent him in this case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 2. Fleming was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered him to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Incidents

On July 13, Laura Shields, 912 Prairie Lane, reported arson damage to a weighted window well cover at her residence. Estimated value of damage was $300.

On July 13, Dennis Stewart, 115 W. Southridge Road, reported damage to a passenger side window on a 1997 GMC Sonoma while parked at 105 N. Third Ave. (Half). Estimated value of damage was $300.

On July 13, Susan Gail Page, 10 S. Third St., reported the theft of 15 color changing solar yard lights at her residence. Estimated value of loss was $300.

On July 8, Lilea Moore, 401 S. Fourth St., reported the theft of a Haro bicycle while outside a business at 111 N. Third Ave., Estimated value of loss was $300. It was recovered.

Citations

On July 12, Shonna Marie Jenkins, 1401 S. Seventh Ave. Apt. #203, was cited for criminal mischief-fifth degree.

Arrests

On Sunday Flavio Mongoy-Nava, 920 S. Ninth Ave., was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

On Sunday, Javier Hernandez-Valdovinos, 205 W. Boone St., was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

On July 12, Daniel Shane Warnell, of Toledo, was arrested for driving under suspension.

Accidents

On July 12, a pickup driven by Daniel Leverne Flanagan, 304 W. South St., was attempting to back around a vehicle in his driveway by utilizing the grassy area between 304 and 306 W. South St., when it struck the northeast corner of the residence of Emmanuel de Jesus Castanon Olguin, 306 W. South St. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Castanon Olguin residence was estimated at $1,000 while the Flanagan pickup received an estimated $800 in damage.

On July 11, a car driven by Brianna Marie Meyer, 2260 Marshalltown Blvd., was traveling through the Elmwood Country Club parking lot when the driver reached to plug in her cell phone and struck the light pole owned by Elmwood Country Club, 1734 Country Club Lane. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Meyer car was estimated at $4,000 while the Elmwood light pole received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

On July 10, a car driven by Mason Christopher Meyer, of Kellogg, was northbound on South Center Street approaching the Nicholas Drive intersection when it entered the intersection on a red light and collided with a car driven by Austin Gene Jordan, 706 Summit St., which was turning northbound onto Center Street from Nicholas Drive. No injuries were reported. Meyer was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2,000 each.

Accidents

On July 11, a car driven by Brittany Marie Tow, 2832 Zola Ave., was southbound on Zeller Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway near 310th Street. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Tow car was estimated at $2,000.

On July 10, a car driven by Tonya Ann Yilek, of Dunbar, was westbound on Second Street in Dunbar, stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Zeller Avenue/Highway 146 when it pulled out onto Zeller Avenue and collided with a car driven by Linda Lou Lacy, of Grinnell, which was traveling north on Zeller Avenue. No injuries were reported. Yilek was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. Damage to the Yilek car was estimated at $3,000 while the Lacy car received an estimated $4,000 in damage.

July 11

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to 204 N. 14th St., two medical assists with the EMS crew to 1108 Iowa Ave. and 709 E. State St. and four fire calls to: 1301 Summit St., 3 S. Fourth Ave., 1734 Country Club Lane and 207 E. Main St.

July 12

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to 704 May St. and 205 N. Fifth St. and a medical assist with the EMS crew to 703 Henry Drive.

July 13

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to 303 W. Nevada St., 1501 Summit St., 521 N. First St., 1013 S. 10th Ave., a fire call to 2206 Wakefield Drive, a rescue call to West Olive Street and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1500 Lincoln Tower Circle, 208 S. Third St., 9 E. Grant St., 423 Swayze St. and 705 W. Iowa Ave.

July 14

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to 1011 S. Third Ave., 3202 S. 12th St., a fire call to 508 W. South St. and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 106 N. 17th Ave., 101 NewCastle Road, 2009 Catalina Place, 407 Melody Lane, 1702 S. Seventh Ave., 1416 W. Linn St., 109 E. Main St. and 2710 S. Sixth St.
