Mary G. Drury, 94

Mary G. Drury, 94, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Baxter Health Care Center, in Baxter, IA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Iowa River Church of the Brethren, in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at the church. Interment will be at the Iowa River Church of the Brethren Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name. Mary was born April 22, 1919 to Bruce and Sadie (Hodges) Hogancamp in Marshalltown. She graduated from Marshalltown High School. Mary was united in marriage to Paul Lentz on July 7, 1946 in Marshalltown. They had two children, Patricia and David. Paul died July 7, 1954. She then married Harvey K. Drury on November 14, 1956 in Marshalltown. He died July 9, 1997. Mary was employed with Commercial State Bank, Marshalls Ice Cream Store, Green Mountain School and MMSC as a cook. She owned and operated the Knick Knack Shack, in Marshalltown. She also assisted her husband with farming and delivering the TR on a rural route. Later in life she was a greeter at Walmart. Mary was a member of the Iowa River Church of the Brethren where she was involved with Ladies Aid. She was a member of the weaver's guild of Marshalltown as well as a 4H Leader. - Among Mary's many hobbies she enjoyed painting ceramics, knitting, crocheting, tatting and various other craft projects. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mary will be missed by her daughter, Patricia (William) Kingfield of West Des Moines, IA, a son, David (Lynn) Drury of Marshalltown, six grandchildren; Chad (Karen) Drury, Kelly (Tim) Hartwig, Theresa (Rick) Mathes, Malinda (Garland) Murray-Kingfield, Bruce Kingfield, Larissa (Ray) Meicke, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands; Paul and Harvey, and two brothers; Lester and Gilbert Hogancamp.
